Fees & Disclosures
Planning, consulting, and investment advisory services are provided on a fee basis. These fees reflect the level of competency, attention to detail, and standard of care that we offer clients. In the case of investment management, the fees also reflect the extra work involved in a tactical management approach vs. a passive approach (see investment philosophy).
There is no charge for an initial consultation.
Discretionary Investment Management *
Advisory fee is expressed as an annual percentage of assets under management, payable in quarterly installments in advance. Basic transaction and related costs are additional. Some investments also have their own underlying expenses, and some may pay additional compensation to the advisor.

Selection of third-party investment programs may involve different or higher fees than the standard schedule above.
* Once initial financial planning has been completed, routine planning updates are provided to discretionary investment management clients as needed without additional charge. For significant research, planning, or consulting, a separate cost estimate will be provided prior to starting work.
Annual Planning/Consulting Retainer
The retainer approach may be useful for clients with a variety of ongoing needs, investment portfolios that can’t be transferred to our discretionary management, or other unique circumstances. Negotiable based on client’s specific situation, payable in quarterly installments in advance.

Project-Based Consulting & Financial Planning
Financial planning engagements or comprehensive written financial plans are based on a rate of $125 per hour, to a maximum project fee agreed in advance. 50% of estimated fee due prior to beginning the review and analysis, balance due at presentation. Minimum fee is $1,500.
